Strand7 FEA Package Added
As a result of increased demand from clients requiring finite element analysis of structures, tanks etc, particularly for mining and fabrication CADgile has purchased the Stand7 FEA software package.  Supplementing our current capabilities with Cosmos,  Strand7 adds an extra level of diversity to our product mix allowing us to choose the most effective software solution depending on the particular application.

Off-Site Placement Service Added
Following the successful secondment of Chris Draper and the subsequent additional two mechanical designers CADgile has added off site placement services to the product mix.  After many enquiries about the short term supply of additional CAD resources this is a service now offered by CADgile.

CADgile welcomes CAD Coordinator - Steelwork
CADgile welcomes the appointment of Kym Parker to the new role of CAD Coordinator- Steelwork.  Forming an integral part of the structural group Kym will add his industry and ProSteel experience to the structural detailing team.

CADgile welcomes CAD Designer
We welcome the successful appointment of Peter Caldicott in the position of CAD Designer.  Peter adds to the team his broad  experience in many areas such as CAD drafting, estimation, project management in the machinery and structural sectors.

Electrical Drafting Added To The Mix
With the successful recruitment of Calin Nita, an experienced Electrical drafter, and as a direct response from its customers CADgile had added Electrical Drafting to the mix of services it offers.

CADgile Assists Leading International Engineering Services Co.
In response to an approach by one of the leading Engineering Services companies CADgile has placed one of their mechanical CAD designers (Chris Draper) on site in their Adelaide CBD offices.  Initially expected to assist the team using AutoCAD 2D Chris was able to demonstrate the many benefits of the Inventor 3D software suite and has settled in to the project team quickly in a 3D modelling role.

CADgile welcomes the appointment of Tom Bertuleit in the position of CAD Drafter. A qualified toolmaker with industry experience in mining and special purpose machinery Tom strengthens our Inventor drafting team.

Admin Assistant Appointed
We are pleased to announce that Tegan Schaftenaar has been appointed to the role of Administration Assistant.  Tegan’s roles will be managing the front of house, assisting finance and in a general administration support role.  Please say a hello next time you come to the offices.
HR Manager Appointed
CADgile are very pleased to announce that Paul Findlay will be joining CADgile in a part time role as HR Manager.  After a long and successful partnership using Paul and his recruiting company “Career Launch” Paul will now join and act directly for CADgile in all aspects of our recruiting and HR management.

CADgile is pleased to announce the full time appointment of Brett Neale in the role of Mechanical Engineer.  Brett worked through 2007 part time in his final year at university and graduated as a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with 1st Class Honours (Automotive Major) late last year.

Paint Ball Carnage
CADgile has just held its Christmas staff function, this year travelling up past Gawler to Paintball Adventures.  It was a great day with many hits, misses, minor bruises and sore muscles but also lots of laughs.  Our resident mechanical engineering coordinator Matthew Eyles proved that his analytical mind and patience makes him well suited to a sniper role, he claimed many kills throughout the day with his patience and accuracy.  Also Michael Firminger proved he’s a lover not a fighter, his ability to take pain is not his strong point, luckily his CAD skills make up for this short coming!  Stay tuned for next years fun…

Technical Sales Manager Appointed

CADgile are very pleased to announce the appointment of Tod Barabas to the newly created role of Technical Sales Manager.  With over 20 years experience in the steel industry Tod will take over the role of developing and building the sales team within CADgile.  Tod’s initial focus will be on providing personalised service for our existing structural clients but over time growing and developing it further and expanding that level of service into our other industry sectors.Expect to meet up with Tod soon as he gets out on the road to meet our existing clients.

2007/6 Financial year closes.

The last financial year results have just been finalised with another excellent result for the CADgile.  Again doubling sales whilst maintaining profitability was a very satisfying result for the company.  The management team would like to sincerely than all the team members for their efforts and most importantly their clients for support.

Office Signage Goes Up

Soon there will be no excuse for getting lost trying to find CADgile!!.  New signage as been designed by local design company Toolbox and is being fitted during July.  Incorporating external signs and also a revamp of the foyer area it should significantly improve the aesthetics of the building.
Administration and Finance Manager Added
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dorota Migas in a permanent part time role looking after all aspects of the finance and administration side of CADgile.  Dorota has been involved from the first days of CADgile and her involvement has gradually increased over time to the point where she will be joining the team 3 full days per week.

Car Park Extended
Work has just been completed on extending the car park to hold an additional 6 cars.  Soon the new lines will be marked with two visitors parks clearly marked making it a little easier for our customers when they drop by for design reviews etc.

SolidWorks Machine Designer Appointed

We are pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Michael Firminger to the role of CAD Drafter.  Michael joins the team in a full time capacity after a short stint as a sub contractor.  Michael comes from a strong Special Purpose Machinery design background and is proficient in the use of SolidWorks adding these skills to the team.
New IT Infrastructure Added
May is proving to be a busy month for CADgile as a new server system is installed.  Taking the opportunity to also upgrade the network speed and also the back up facilities the new HP system will significantly enhance our data storage and network speed.  Local IT company Nemex handled the build and install with it being installed easily over one weekend with minimum down time.
CADgile Offices Expand (again)
Due to the expansion of the team CADgile has now taken occupancy of the full 300m2 facility at Cavan Road.  The extra space now caters for a larger board room, increased office spaces and the set up of a mechanical disassembly room.  As always CADgile would like extend an open invitation to all our clients to drop by for a coffee and a look.
ProSteel Capability Added
Cadgile recently purchased the 3D structural design and detailing package ProSteel with four staff undergoing training at the suppliers training centre.  ProSteel will significantly improve the product delivered to our customers significantly reducing delivery times and improving quality.

Two new Structural Drafters Added
We are pleased to announce the appointments of James Follet and Gary Sellar to the positions of CAD Drafters.  Both have significant experience as structural detailers and so strengthen the growing structural detailing expertise within CADgile.  Significantly they also inject some youth and enthusiasm to the “old” team!!

Enzo Zollo Promoted to Operations Manager
CADgile is pleased to announce the promotion of Enzo to the newly created role of Operations Manager.  In his new role Enzo is responsible for all facets of the general operations within CADgile ensuring the delivery of consistent, quality drawings to our customers.  The new appointment is a recognition of the significant difference Enzo has made to the team since joining us.

CADgile Awarded Large SPM Contract
CADgile has been awarded a significant special purpose machinery design contract of approximately 4000 hours using up to 6 full time designers.  Following on from a successful completion of a project for the same customer in 2006 CADgile were awarded the design project for the next stage in the development of the leading edge process.

CADgile adds two new team members
We are glad to announce the addition of two new permanent members to the team.

Gary Szkolik joins us to strengthen the Structural team. Gary, a qualified boilermaker has extensive experience in structural steel, including fabrication and erection and brings his practical experience to the design and drafting side of steel fabrication.

Matthew Eyles, a qualified Mechanical Engineer strengthens our mechanical analysis expertise including finite element analysis and general mechanical analysis.

CADgile adds SolidWorks & COSMOS FEA
CADgile is pleased to announce the purchase of both SolidWorks and COSMOS finite element analysis (FEA) software. The addition of SolidWorks adds extra options to our clients and supplements our existimng Autodesk range of products. COSMOS Designstar professional is a powerful stand alone FEA package allowing us to add analysis for stress, strain, deformation, thermal transfer and fatigue effects for both single part and assemblies. It supplements our existing single part ANSYS capability.

The new CADgile website has been launched. Developed with ease of navigation in mind, the website is aimed at providing customers both new and current easy access to the various services and information CADgile provides.

CADgile adds FEA to range of services:
After a successful pre purchase trial CADgile has upgraded its CAD software to include Inventor Professional incorporating ANSYS FEA. Adding FEA capability allows greater design analysis prior to manufacturing and hence greatly reduces risk and costs.

CADgile adds Mechanical Engineer:
CADgile welcomes the appointment of Andrew Wirth in the position of Design Engineer. An experienced mechanical engineer Andrew has broad experience in automation, special purpose design and FEA analysis and holds a bachelor of engineering (hons) in mechanical and electrical engineering. Andrews role will be to add depth to the mechanical design team with emphasis on FEA analysis.
CADgile runs the inaugural CADgile Grand Prix:
CADgile held its inaugural grand prix at the Gepps Cross indoor go kart track as parts of its internal Christmas break-up. Spirited racing ensued during the practices and races. For the record the winner was Neil How with an impressive 2 first and a second place from the three races

CADgile has relocated its office next door to the larger office. Retaining the same phone and fax contact numbers the new address is 46 Churchill Rd, Ovingham.

CADgile gains a new team member:
CADgile welcomes the appointment of Neil How in the position of CAD Drafter. An experienced CAD designer Neil has considerable experience in special purpose machine design, and coil processing equipment and holds an associate diploma in mechanical engineering. Neil’s role will be to further strengthen the CADgile mechanical design team with an emphasis on machinery for large to medium industry.

CADgile has moved to new premises located at 46B Churchill Rd, Ovingham. Providing greater security and further room to grow the new recently renovated premises have ample on site parking and are centrally located midway between the northern and southern manufacturing centres.
